POCKET FILES · iOS · EFFECTIVE OCT 2, 2026

Effective October 2, 2026. Pocket Files is developed by Gabriel Wang. The app does not include advertising, tracking, or developer operated analytics, and does not send your files to us.

01

Files and preferences

Imported files, local edits, reading positions, favorites, recent file records, and settings are stored on your device. The app accesses files you select or place in its document folder. iOS device backups, Files providers, and iCloud Drive may store copies under your Apple account or the provider you choose; those services follow their own privacy policies.

02

Server connections and credentials

If you add a server, Pocket Files stores its connection details and trusted host key locally. Saved SSH passwords and the device SSH private key are kept in the iOS Keychain with protection limited to this device. SSH and SFTP send authentication information, commands, and file transfers directly to the server you choose. We do not operate an intermediary server for these connections.

03

Remote drafts and web content

Remote editing can create local working copies and recovery drafts to help avoid lost work. Imported web packages may store their own data locally. Web pages, packages, and services you choose to open may contact outside services, use cookies, or receive information you enter. Those services are controlled by their operators and follow their own policies. Remote web previews use a separate temporary WebKit data store.

04

Device permissions

Local network access is used to connect to servers on your network. Camera and microphone access may be requested by web content you open. Adding photos to your photo library requires permission when you choose to save media. You control these permissions in iOS Settings.

05

Sharing and deletion

Files leave your device when you choose to share, export, upload, or save them to a remote server or provider. You can remove local files, saved connections, and recovery drafts in the app. Removing a saved connection also removes its saved password. Deleting the app removes its app container; iOS Keychain items and copies in backups or other services may persist. Deleting a local copy does not delete copies you have already shared or stored elsewhere.

06

Support and this website

If you email us, we receive your email address and the content and attachments you provide. We use that information to respond and troubleshoot, retain it only as needed for support and required recordkeeping, and do not use it for advertising. Email providers process messages to deliver them. This support website may process ordinary request information, such as an IP address and browser details, through hosting and security services to deliver and protect the pages. These pages do not include analytics scripts or tracking cookies.

07

Children

Pocket Files does not ask users to create an account or provide personal information to the developer. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. Contact us if a child has sent personal information in a support request.

08

Changes and questions

We will update this page and its effective date when our practices change. For privacy questions or to request deletion of information you sent to support, email [email protected].
