POCKET FILES · iOS

Your files, within reach. A comprehensive file manager and document viewer for iPhone. Free, with no subscriptions or in app purchases.

01

Browse and organize

Open My Files to create folders, search, filter by file type, and switch between a grid and a list. Touch and hold an item to rename, copy, move, share, or add it to Favorites. Recents helps you return to files you have opened.

02

Import and share

Use the + button in My Files to import from Files or iCloud Drive. You can also share a file to Pocket Files from another app. Local documents are available in Files under On My iPhone → Pocket Files.

03

Read, edit, and convert

Read searchable PDFs, edit Markdown and text, work with supported Word and Excel documents, and view photos or play supported media. Use the file menu to convert supported formats or make a ZIP archive. Format compatibility varies; keep a backup before editing important documents.

04

Connect to your own computer

Add your Mac, NAS, or server in Connections using its SSH hostname, port, and credentials. Verify the server host key before trusting it. Browse files over SFTP, edit supported remote files, or open a terminal. Ports and Previews lets you view a web service running on that server.

05

Open portable web documents

Pocket Files can open imported .pocketapp packages containing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in WebKit. Only open files and packages from sources you trust. A page or server you choose to open may use the internet and has its own privacy practices.

06

Local use and backups

No account is required for local file management. Local browsing and supported document tools work offline. Server connections and online web content require a connection. Pocket Files is not a backup service; export copies of important files before deleting the app.
